As a semi-professional photographer I wanted to make a montage video of my work to help drum up business. I reached out to JD at Black Rogue Music Group to see if he could help with the background music. We talked on the phone for quite awhile, and he listened to my vision of the project, asked some really good questions to help us both find a starting point path, and then said he’d have some samples in a few days. I’ve heard that line before from creatives and expected more like a few weeks, but sure enough, 3 days later I got a few samples. One particularly jumped out at me, but I still wanted some refinement. There was no push back from JD, and a couple of days later I had gotten the adjusted track. It worked great! I truly can not say enough wonderful things about JD. He will definitely be the person I go to for the scoring and music composition for all of my films in the future. Not only is he professional and timely, his attention to detail is impeccable! He found or created the perfect music for each scene and went well beyond what I thought was possible. Another great quality is that he suggested music in places and scenes I didn’t even think of. I love that one of his goals was to protect us (the filmmaker and himself) from any copyright infringement which is so very important. The music helps to create thoughts and emotions and he did just that. He made sure the sound quality was perfect for not just someone viewing on their phone, computer, or television but also in movie theaters. My movie will win awards and it is already scheduled to debut in theaters. It would be a huge understatement to think I could have done so without his help.
